A Change of Address

There is so much that I am so thankful and grateful for.  Of course, I am always thankful for the free gift of our Lord Jesus Christ, my family, my dear friends, and so much more.

 I, like so many, have been so saddened and stunned by the loss of Charlie Kirk.  Every day I think to myself, “I just can’t believe he is really gone.”  I can only imagine the unthinkable loss Erika feels every moment of every day and Charlie’s parents and family as well. 

But when I find myself missing him, when I see his photo or hear his voice, I am reminded that he is not really gone.  He just changed his address.  What I am most thankful for is that Charlie’s prayers were answered.  I’ve heard that before every event or appearance, he would say “God use me”.   Well, God did just that and in a BIG way.  The Scripture that comes to mind when I think of how God used Charlie is 1 Peter 4:10-11: “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace…in order that in everything God may be glorified”

God has certainly been glorified in the loss of the earthly Charlie, but Heaven just got a little more crowded! 😊
