And Then…It Happened!
Special Gratitude Edition

My life verse for this year is Proverbs 3:5-6. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” My “word” for this year has been “trust.” Even when time moves at a seemingly slow pace, I can totally lean into God and trust that He’s working out the timing and all the details of whatever I’m hanging on to.
In this case, that has been a trip to the Mayo Clinic. A little back story…
I went to the Mayo Clinic back in April after waiting several months for an appointment. I was there for three days, undergoing lots of testing to see if I might be a candidate for a procedure to help with essential tremors. Then began months more of waiting to hear whether or not I would be able to have the procedure done.
I have been in awe at the amount of trust God has given me in knowing that He’s got this. Even in the waiting when I’ve heard nothing from the clinic, I’ve been okay. No matter what, I’ve known that in God’s perfect timing, He’ll make it happen. Believe me – I’m not normally that kind of person. I firmly think, “Do it or don’t, but make a decision.” God has given me a peace that really does pass all understanding.
It has been a long process, but God has finally made it happen – in His time and in His way! I’ve been approved for the procedure! He has had this all along, and I’m headed to Minnesota in January! To Him be the glory!
Now, you can pray for those Minnesota winters as I get to go on January 13, 20, and 27, 2026!
