“Oh, come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come into His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise. For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.” – Psalm 95:1-3

Ready for a fast?
I’d be honored if you would join me in the days leading up to Thanksgiving in fasting from asking our gracious God for anything and feasting on His goodness and glory in all things. Of course, we’ll still be in close communication with Him as we lift up our praise and thanks, claim the truths of His promises, and worship Him for the beauty of His character.
Our God is able to intervene, sustain, protect, comfort, and hold us in any and every circumstance. The stories you’ll read beginning tomorrow will celebrate Who God is in trials and triumphs. The individuals and families in these stories have lived out some hard things and found God to be true to Who He says He is. Their stories don’t all end with a pretty bow on top, but they do magnify the heart of the Giver of every good and perfect gift.
And if you’re up for a bonus, our Scripture memory challenge begins tomorrow, too. We’ll be working on one short passage each week in our effort to memorize Psalm 100. By November 26, you’ll have the entire Psalm hidden in your heart.
Let the fasting and the feasting begin! See you in the morning!
