God * stretches out the heavens and marshals their starry hosts * has not spoken in secret * is our source of deliverance.

My friends, there are only two kingdoms – the one ruled by the enemy and the one ruled by God. Just as the Israelites were delivered from under the lordship of Pharaoh to the Lordship of God Almighty, we are supernaturally delivered from darkness to light when we trust in the blood of Jesus to make us clean before our holy God. Why choose to remain in darkness when the light of Christ beckons you to fall into His arms of love and grace? - TV

What does it look like when God steps in to defend you? From your enemies’ perspective, it looks like darkness – while you walk in His light. It looks like confusion and chaos – while you walk in confidence and faith. It looks like the wheels of their chariots are jammed as they pursue – while you move forward with steady progress toward what God has for you. It ultimately looks like evil being swept into the sea, drowned and destroyed – while you go through on the dry path God has miraculously provided. Fear the Lord with a reverent, grateful heart, and trust in His perfect justice to address your enemies. (Exodus 14:19-31) - TV

In Jewish culture, blindness or any other type of physical suffering was attributed to sin. In truth, these things happen because we live in a fallen world. We don’t always know the cause of our suffering, but we do know that we can turn to Jesus for the strength and endurance to persevere. The question to ask isn’t “Why am I suffering?” Instead, ask the Lord for His help and perspective for your trial. Jesus won’t abandon you but will draw near and walk closely with you. – TV

Psalm 24 celebrates the presence of the King of glory among His people. Ultimately, it signifies the entry of the Messiah – Jesus Christ – into the New Jerusalem, where He’ll reign forever. When “the Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle” is finally seated on His throne, His reign of perfect peace and righteousness will begin. Such a time may be hard to picture considering the state of the world today – and maybe even the state of your own personal circumstances. But God has foretold it, and God can be trusted. Live for the day when the kingdom of the Lord Almighty is your forever home. “Lift up your head” in eager anticipation of His return, and spread the word: “The King is coming!” – TV

“Whether or not you currently feel that God is around doesn’t alter reality. Whether or not you feel He loves you, or even that you are worthy of His love, doesn’t change reality, either.” – Brant Hansen

“The Lord brings death and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and raises up. The Lord sends poverty and wealth; He humbles and He exalts. He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap; He seats them with princes and has them inherit a throne of honor. For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s; upon them He has set the world. He will guard the feet of His saints, but the wicked will be silenced in darkness. It is not by strength that one prevails; those who oppose the Lord will be shattered. He will thunder against them from heaven; the Lord will judge the ends of the earth.” – 1 Samuel 2:6-10a
